Here is a list of the most.effective home remedies for treating a stomach ache:

1- Ginger

Ginger helps in regulating the digestion process due to its effective antioxidant as well as anti-inflammatory properties.

Additionally, it decreases the production of free radicals, neutralizes stomach acids and  increases the digestive juices.


Cut the ginger root into thin slices.
Put the slices in a one cup of boiling water.

Keep boiling the mixture for three minutes.

Remove it from heat, add some honey then sip it slowly.
Drink this solution twice or thrice a day to ease stomach ache and improve digestion.

2- Fennel

Fennel seeds can give you quick relief, especially in case of indigestion, as they have carminative, diuretic, pain-reducing and antimicrobial properties. They can also help you to get rid of gas and bloating.


Add one teaspoon of crushed fennel seeds to a cup of hot water.

Keep it on heat for eight to 10 minutes.

Remove it and leave it to cool and strain it.

3- Asafetida

Put one teaspoon of dried chamomile in a cup of boiled water, then cover it for 15 minutes.
Add some lemon juice or honey according to your taste, then sip the mixture slowly.

5.Baking Soda and Lemon

Baking soda fights the infections and restores the pH balance which provide some relief to your stomach ache as well as bloating and gas. Additionally, lemon is a powerful antioxidant and a good source of vitamin C, so it can remove free radicals from the body and detoxifies it.


Make a mixture of the juice of one lemon, one teaspoon of baking soda, one-quarter teaspoon of salt and a glass of warm water.
